Time for the second installment in the Curated Closet series! Before we get into the details of this week’s edition, I’d like to give you a few practical tips for how you can use this type of post to help plan and organize your wardrobe:
- Use these graphics as inspiration/mood board. Print it out or save the image to your phone. Then go in your closet and see what you already own that would help you recreate these looks. All the items in a Curated Closet post are selected based on how versatile they are and how easy each is to mix and match to create a number of different looks. Even if you don’t plan on buying any of the products mentioned, you can still use the picture to help you make the most of your own wardrobe!
- If you do plan on shopping and need to update/enhance your wardrobe, take the image shopping with you! You can either look for similar pieces that fit your price range OR purchase the entire look from the links in this post.
This week’s Curated Closet features my favorite fall neutral color – I like to call it camel brown. It’s a rich tan shade that, to me, looks very vibrant and luxurious. I have so many pieces in this color and feel like it’s a must in my day-to-day “uniform.” It’s easy to pair with darker shades of brown, black, or even charcoal greys. My favorite accent to camel-colored pieces are leopard prints. Pairing a small flash of leopard with a camel-colored neutral instantly adds a touch of glam to an already chic and sophisticated look!
Items included in this inspiration board also include trends of the bucket drawstring bag, off-the-shoulder detail, and blouses with lace detail. I think this blouse would be perfect to wear with a pencil skirt or faux leather leggings for upcoming holiday parties! Also, can we just have a quick moment of gratitude that Mary Janes are back on trend?!? This is my favorite type of dress shoe/heel – I had so many pairs as a teen! I’m definitely drooling over this leopard pair from Sam Edelman!
