We talk about a lot of girlish things here on Sweet Cayenne – ladies fashion, teacup candles, dainty recipes….the list could go on. Today, I thought we’d give some attention to the men in our lives with a post on – yes, you read that right – manscaping. A.K.A. men’s grooming. Whether we realize it or not, men are serious about their grooming products and have pretty specific opinions about what they like to use – whether it be shaving cream, hair “goop,” or lip balm. That’s why I was thrilled when my husband, Ryan, said he’d like to write a guest post on how he cuts his own hair. I’ll let him tell you more about that, as well as give you the 4-1-1 on his favorite picks for grooming products (that sounds much better than saying beauty products, right??).
Hey, Ryan here – that guy Whitney talks about on this blog from time to time. So why am I here??? I have been cutting my hair for the better part of five years and it has surely been a learning process. After talking this over with Whitney, we thought it might be a good idea to show others how they can do this too. I am not a hair dresser, just some guy who likes to save a buck here and there. And to be honest with you, 9 out of 10 times I like the hair cuts I have given myself better than what I have gotten from others. Below you will find a video that outlines a way to use Wahl Clippers to cut your hair. As I stated, this is a learning process, so if you want to begin to cut your own hair, be patient. I’ve also included a few other of my favorite hair and shaving products.
