How has your week been, everyone? I'm definitely ready for the weekend! Last weekend, Ryan and I finally got to attend our first football game together in the three years that we've been married - the Mizzou vs. Georgia game was a nail biter and we had fun being out and about. Recently, we've become what I call "house project hermits" and have spent most of our weekends working on updates to our new house. Ryan spent 17 hours the weekend before last putting up white subway tile backsplash in our kitchen! It was quite the task (I did house cleaning and a ton of laundry while he was putting up tile). I can't wait to share how it turned out soon!
Recently, I purchased this dolman-sleeved black dress (comes in 3 other colors!) during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to add to my fall closet staples. It kind of looks like an oversized shirt, but it's fitted in just the right places to look tailored and flattering. I love how the length goes to right above my knees too (I'm 5'5 and ordered an XS). It's long enough to wear to work; but I like styling it for a date night look and pairing it with fun heels like these zebra print wedges.
Another staple I purchased during the #NSALE was this sleek and structured satchel bag by Sole Society. It's so well-made and extremely affordable (only $59!), and I'm in love with the wine-hued color. It goes with so many of my fall and winter pieces and it holds quite a bit. I was able to fit an oversized blanket scarf in it when I took it to church Sunday because it's always so cold in the auditorium!
If you're from Missouri and have any recommendations for fun things to do in the fall, leave a comment below! Since Ryan and I are relatively new to the state, I love to get recs for where to go, fun places to stay, things to see, and restaurants to try. What fun activities are you planning for the fall? I'd love to hear about it in the comments section below. Scroll on down for the widget to shop this look!
