Blogging Through the Summer Slump + Blog Boss Babe

Published: Jun 7, 2016 · Modified: Mar 26, 2020 by Whitney Reist · This post may contain affiliate links |

As the temperatures rise, swimming pools open, and vacations begin, a funny/frustrating phenomenon happens to blogs: readership and traffic goes down. This is my third year blogging through the summer, and it's no surprise to me that my traffic has taken a dive since Memorial Day weekend. People are busy and have better/more fun things to do than read blogs when the weather is so gorgeous and school is out - trust me, I get it. In fact, I'd rather be out right there with you. I certainly don't have time to read other blogs during summertime, and to be honest, the time I have to write blog posts during the season also seems to shrink.

I find that blog posts during summertime need to be short, simple, and sweet. Summer is also a great time to hone in on a skill of blogging you'd like to improve so that by the time school is in, you can really focus on providing the excellent, most helpful content that readers love and are attracted to. Skills like writing, photography, learning more about the technical side of running a website, or even redesigning your website. Whatever a blogger chooses to work on, the attempt is so much more fun and effective if you do it through a blogging community!

That's where Blog Boss Babe comes in. My wonderful and genius blogger friend, Helene, has created a new and dynamic community for bloggers who want learn and grow together. I'm so excited about this that I even agreed to be included in her mentor team that all the members of Blog Boss Babe have access to. Whether you are a food blogger, fashion blogger, lifestyle blogger, travel blogger, or whatever type you may be, Blog Boss Babe has the tips, tools, and mentorship needed to create and grow a successful blog.

Blog Boss Babe is a dynamic community of mentors and members looking to start and grow amazing and successful blogs. Join this fun and exciting community today!

Even if I didn't know Helene, I'd highly recommend taking a peek at what she has created. She is one of the most open and transparent bloggers I've ever come across; and the information she shares about the business of blogging is always relevant, timely, practical, and SO interesting! I've been in awe at what she has shared through her webinars about growing a Pinterest following, building an e-mail list, creating dynamic posts and images.....the list could go on and on! I feel like she's always the first to know when there's a change with a social media algorithm or Google analytics. Seriously though, Helene is the ultimate, in-the-know blogging expert!
