Today I'm excited to announce the release of a project I contributed to during the latter part of 2014 - an Ebook! This was the first time I had ever attempted to work on a self-published book to sell on Sweet Cayenne; and the opportunity to ease into this kind of thing by co-authoring the book with fellow dietitian, Christina Strudwick, seemed too good to pass up! Christina is the author of the sports nutrition focused blog The Fueled Athlete and is a fellow dietitian acquaintance of Ryan and myself. She is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and has a ton of practical, science-based expertise for athletes and anyone looking to lead a fit healthy lifestyle.
The Fueled Athlete Ebook is a great resource for anyone who is looking to up their game in athletics and improve performance through the application of evidence-based and scientifically-proven nutrition recommendations. It's also a good foundation of sports nutrition knowledge for anyone who is looking to lead more of an active, healthy lifestyle and wants to start off on the right foot towards becoming a competitive athlete {think of that marathon you'd like to train for!}.
The recipes I contributed to the book were created with the goal of offering a wide variety of whole foods-based {think: minimally processed} dishes that can be prepared in less than 30 minutes or less with a minimum level of cooking experience and kitchen equipment. In a nutshell, the recipe are simple but satisfying and will provide high quality nutrition "fuel" to help you achieve your athletic goals!
